Beans
(Phaseolus vulgaris) 50 seeds per packet (unless otherwise noted). Beans are tender and should not be planted until danger of frost is past. Sow in drills 2 inches deep and 2½ to 3 feet apart at intervals from the first of May until August. A larger yield will be obtained if the plants are thinned to 3 inches apart. Cultivate freely but not when the vines are wet.
