Eco-friendly! We’ve offered this variety for over 110 years. Long, thick roots grow to 2 inches across. It is vigorous and fast-growing with a delicate, deliciously mild flavor; great fresh or cooked. The Carentan leek was mentioned by James J.H. Gregory of Massachusetts in 1885 who stated, “A very fine extra large winter variety.” An old European favorite that is becoming rare. Very adaptable and yields are good.
