Eco-friendly! Offered by us since at least the 1840’s and we stated, “that it must be stored in sand in the cellar for winter use. It will keep good until spring.” This winter variety has smooth, round, coal-black roots that can grow up to 6 inches in diameter and has a spicy, full-bodied radish flavor that is starting to regain the attention of chefs and radish lovers everywhere. It is believed this heirloom predates the 16th century in Europe.
