We would not recommend this tomato Review by Annie & Jessie
We had hoped this Heirloom, Organic Tomato would become a mainstay in our garden. However, the first fruit did not set until early August, even though the plants were set out in mid-May. All of the early blooms just withered & dropped off. It was not until we discovered that if we pulled the yellow flower off of the bud that the tiny tomato beneath the flower would grow & develop into a full tomato. In mid September when we finally started picking our first ripe German Johnson tomatoes, they were a meaty tomato without many seeds but the texture was grainy & without much taste. In all fairness, there are not many bees left in our area so a lack of pollination may have caused these issues..
